After Saturday’s round 1 clash was rescheduled to John Hall Reserve, with heavy rain and lines washed away the match was postponed. Senior match however went ahead as planned and it was some clinical finishing and organised defence that separated the squads, Darebin winning 3-0.

Seniors

In the Senior fixture of Catch up Round 1 saw a another close game. In the opposite of the Reserve fixture, it was Reservoir who in the 20th minute had the best of the chances and a nice through ball saw them take an early lead. The rest of the half was more of a battle of midfield with not many chances either way. Reservoir then was able to sneak a second goal through a free kick at the top of the box in the 55th. A few chances then fell MUSC’s way as they pushed to get back into the game including a scissor effort from Mauricio Gutierrez. James Xu shortly after got one back for MUSC. That would be the final scoreline as Yeti held on for a 2-1 win.
