The next entry into our Men’s Team of the Decade is midfielder Erik Hamre.

Erik arrived at The University of Melbourne as an international student from Norway in the 2011 season and although he started in the lower grade side of the club his performances quickly pushed him into the top tier team.

His pace and skill on the wing caused opponents huge problems. He assisted in many games and scored over 10 goals in each of his 2 seasons at the club. In season 2012 Erik won the Best and Fairest award by a considerable margin.

He was a very fit player who after returned after a hiatus in season 2013 and helped MUSC out of a relegation scrap and into a solid 7th place finish.
