Team of the Decade: Warren Evert

The next entry into our Men’s Team of the Decade is midfielder Warren Evert.

Warren Evert was an integral member of the Melbourne University team from season 2009 till season 2013.

He was solid, combative defensive midfielder who would do the majority of the hard work for the team and score the odd cracker each season.

Warren was always a coaches favourite and one of the first names of the teamsheet because he was such a consistent and steady performer. In terms of accolades, he won the Best and Fairest award in season 2010 and was runner up in 2011.

He was well liked player and teammate who provided terrific service to the club.
