Melbourne University Soccer Club has 20 teams, offering playing opportunities at both high performance and social levels.
All of our teams train and play home games at Princes Park, Carlton during the season.

Women’s VPL & FV State League teams
Victorian Premier League
Our Victorian Premier League Women’s (VPLW) squad consists of a Seniors and a Reserves team. It offers the highest level of women’s competitive football at the club.
Matches: Sundays, with some Friday and Saturday away games
Training requirement: 2 nights per week, Tuesday and Thursday
Women’s State League
State League players should be able to compete adequately in their leagues with a focus on player development as well as performance.
Matches: Sundays, with some Friday night games.
Training requirement: 2 nights per week, Tuesday and Thursday. Some teams require less of a time commitment and train once per week.
Women’s Beginner/Social Program
This is a new program the club was run for the first time in 2024 and will continue in 2025. It requires less time commitment than playing in competitive leagues. Players participate in intra-club matches on the weekend and have opportunities to train during the week.
Men’s MSL and Sunday League Teams
Men’s State League
Our Men’s State League Program consists of two squads competing in Football Victoria’s Men’s State League 4 and Men’s State League 5 competitions. Each squad is made up of a seniors and reserves team. Our MSL Program offers the highest level of men’s competitive football at the club.
Matches: Saturdays at home
Training requirement: 2 nights per week
Men’s Thirds
Our Men’s Thirds consists of two squads competing in Football Victoria’s Metropolitan Men’s competition. Each squad is aligned to either our MSL4 or MSL5 squad and provides both a pathway into the a state league squad and a pool of additional players for our MSL squads throughout the season.
Matches: Sundays
Training requirement: 1 night per week, Wednesday
Men’s Metro/Sunday League
Our Men’s Metro program features multiple squads competing in various divisions of Football Victoria’s Metropolitan Men’s competition, spanning Metro 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, and 7. These teams offer a diverse range of competitive levels, catering to players with different aspirations and abilities. These squads also provide an additional pool of players throughout the season for higher level teams.

Training requirement: 1 night per week, Wednesday
Men’s Masters
Over 35s (the “Bohemians”)
While competing in an open-age Metro league, the Bohemians are generally Over 35 players. Balancing family and work commitments, they focus on match-day participation and do not train.
